    Elastic Straps: N95 masks are secured to the face with elastic straps that go behind the ears or around the head, depending on the design. These straps help create a seal against the face, preventing any air from bypassing the mask.
    Shape and Design: N95 masks often have a cup-like shape or a flat-fold design. Some masks feature a molded design to fit snugly over the nose and mouth, while others may have an exhalation valve to make breathing easier and reduce moisture buildup inside the mask.

Some masks come with exhalation valves, which help reduce the buildup of heat and moisture inside the mask, making it more comfortable for extended wear. However, masks with valves are generally not recommended in situations where source control (i.e., preventing the wearer from spreading droplets) is a priority, such as during a pandemic.
